Key Dates for the 2020 Census / Fechas importantes

  • March 2-6, 2020 Statistics in Schools Week
    • Educators across the country unite to teach students about the importance of the census
  •  March 23-27, 2020 National Census Week
  • April 1, 2020 Census Day! / ¡Feliz Día del Censo!
    • By this date, every home will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you should respond for your home in one of three ways: online, by phone, or by mail. When you respond to the census, you’ll tell the Census Bureau where you live as of April 1, 2020.
    • Para esta fecha, todos los hogares habrán recibido una invitación para participar en el Censo del 2020. Una vez que llegue la invitación, debe responder usando cualquiera de las siguientes tres opciones: por internet, por teléfono o por correo. Cuando usted llene el formulario del censo, debe indicarle a la Oficina del Censo en dónde vive el día 1 de abril del 2020.
  • Late April to July 31, 2020 – Non-response follow-up, Enumerator Visits
    • For the 2020 Census, the U.S. Census Bureau will only visit homes that do not respond to the census. Census takers, also known as enumerators, will visit households that did not respond starting in late-April and ending on July 31.
    • Los censistas comienzan a visitar hogares que no han respondido al Censo del 2020 para asegurarse de que todos sean contados.
