District 89 HVAC Project
A Special Board Meeting of the Board of Education of School District 89 was held on October 30, 2019 to discuss Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. Mr. Jim Vreeland, Business Manager for District 89 gave a presentation explaining the importance of having air conditioning in schools along with a review on the status of the boilers currently in the schools. The HVAC recommended to the Board of Education was a Geothermal System. The Board heard additional presentations given by Mr. Pat Callahan from Studio GC Architecture + Interiors and Ms. Tammie Beckwitch Schallmo, Sr. Vice President Managing Director of PMA as well as public comments and questions from the audience. The Board of Education voted to approve the HVAC System as recommended.
