BPAC Meeting Engages Parents in Student Assessments and Learning Strategies

The second BPAC meeting of the year brought parents together for an informative and engaging session focused on student assessments and effective learning strategies.

Ms. Barba organized a childcare area to support the families, where children enjoyed a movie in a safe and engaging environment while their parents participated in the session.

The meeting agenda focused on key student assessments -ACCESS, IAR, and ISA- which measure academic progress and proficiency. Ms. Sepulveda explained the purpose of each test, their required testing windows in December and March, and their importance for all K-12 students. Parents engaged in a meaningful discussion, asking insightful questions about the assessment results and how they affect their children’s education.

After the meeting, parents joined a virtual workshop led by nationally renowned educator Rebecca Palacios, who shared expert tips for supporting student learning at home.

The next BPAC meetings are scheduled for February 25, March 1, and April 29. We encourage all parents to attend and continue to partner with us in their children’s academic success!
