Irving Middle School Hosts First NJHS Induction Ceremony

Irving Middle School proudly celebrated its first National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Induction Ceremony, welcoming 59 students into the prestigious organization. The event drew a full house of proud families, staff, and community members who gathered to recognize the students’ dedication to scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship.

Guests also heard an inspiring message from keynote speaker Mr. Dennis Kitchen, who encouraged students to strive for excellence and continue leading by example in school and in their community.

One of the most emotional moments of the evening came during the ritual ceremony, when students lit candles representing the five pillars of NJHS, symbolizing the values that guide their academic and personal achievements.

The ceremony concluded with Superintendent Dr. Algeanna Griffin leading the NJHS induction pledge and inviting parents to follow along, officially welcoming the students into the Irving Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.
